Martha Raddatz
Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN)
Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY)
Bill Kristol
Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MI)
Reince Preibus
David Plouffe
Carly Fiorina

Stephanopoulos: Egypt is on the edge of civil war!

Lila: the muslim brotherhood is willing to fight to the death

Stephanopoulos: can there be a peaceful solution?

Lila: no because both sides feel
they are fighting for very survival

Stephanopoulos: How come America
doesn't get to decide what happens in Egypt

Raddatz: I don't understand it – it's like it's
another country or something

Stephanopoulos: it's baffling –
should the U.S. invade Egypt?

Raddatz: the U.S. must choose a red line
before we attack so we can determine
what happens in that other country

Stephanopoulos: Bob how can you
justify giving aid to Egypt?

Corker: George I hate to break to you
but we don't give them that much money

Stephanopoulos: too bad

Corker: this whole conversation is naive –
I don't care what happens in Egypt
as long as the Suez canal stays open

Stephanopoulos: Eliot you're with me right?

Engel: no – we can support a military
coup or the muslim brotherhood

Stephanopoulos: that's a tough one

Engel: I wish we had total control over
another country but they have this
weird idea they are a sovereign nation

Stephanopoulos: those wacky foreigners
have some nutty ideas

Engel: oh I know

Stephanopoulos: please bash Obama for me

Corker: look we need to keep up
a relationship with Egypt

Stephanopoulos: answer the question

Corker: Obama ruined Iraq and
then that country is become violent

Stephanopoulos: well that is a surprise

Engel: it may feel good to cut off aid
just because the government is
murdering people but it won't accomplish anything

Stephanopoulos: interesting idea

Engel: you go with the military coup
you have not the military you want

Stephanopoulos: will someone agree
with me on cutting off aid?

Ellison: yes – we can start giving money
again when they stop the bloodshed

Stephanopoulos: Israel wants to
keep the aid flowing!

Kristol: because they hate
muslim brotherhood

Stephanopoulos: ok

Kristol: most of my friends want to
cut off aid but I think we should keep it

Stephanopoulos: you have such a great track record

Ellison: we should suspend aid until
they create a democracy

Stephanopoulos: problem solved!

Stephanopoulos: is Obama spineless
or would this happen to any President?

Kristol: we look we weak for not
invading Syria therefore there is
internal instability in Egypt

Stephanopoulos: because everything
that happens in the world is because
of the United States

Raddatz: exactly

[ break ]

Stephanopoulos: Christie and Paul and
Cruz and McConnell are all fighting
each other - is the GOP in trouble?

Preibus: it's a healthy family debate –
like should Dad gamble more or
should Mom keep drinking?

Stephanopoulos: you reject NBC and CNN
over an movie about Hillary Clinton

Preibus: I'm trying to fix a GOP
that was terribly run in 2012

Stephanopoulos: you head of the party in 2012

Preibus: so I should know

Stephanopoulos: can you reach out to minorities?

Preibus: we are reaching out more
than the GOP ever has before

Stephanopoulos: wow

Preibus: look I can only control
the mechanics – not how crazy
the politicians are

Stephanopoulos: Bill how is the GOP?

Kristol: the liberal media wants the
GOP to roll over like puppies and
hate that the GOP are fighting back

Plouffe: their problem is that people hate their ideas and proposals

Fiorina: the problem with the GOP is
that women should be stopped from
controlling their bodies after 5 months
and no one in the media is willing to report that

Stephanopoulos: should the GOP shut down the government?

Kristol: Chris Christie is a great governor!

Stephanopoulos: thanks for coming everyone
